RÖÄRGH! was formed by SUNY Binghamton students Dan 'Birdman' Siegel and Rob 'Beastman' Muller in September 2009 in the Southern Tier of New York state. After 6 months of gathering a full-lineup, RÖÄRGH! released their first demo. After over a year of line-up reductions and unsuccessful booking, RÖÄRGH! played their first show as a two-piece, at The Basement in Kingston, NY on May 22nd, 2011. The show took place in the wake of Siegel and Muller's graduation, hence they settled into the Hudson Valley from then on. RÖÄRGH! continued to develop their live show, as well as their recordings, releasing a self-titled EP on April 1st, 2012 again, as a two-piece. Nine days after the EP's release, saw the band's first show with a full-lineup sharing the stage with metal's brutal underground, as well as more prominent acts.
